Our staff is led by ASE Certified Master Technician Aaron Burgess w/30+ years experience in the auto repair industry. Aaron is not OK with good enough! In fact that is why we began as a mobile Auto AC Repair company. Aaron was not satisfied with the industry standard still being used today.
It was invented in the 1950's and resulted in repeated comebacks (more of a Hit or Miss approach) that often let his customers down when they needed their vehicles heating and cooling system to work the most. Aaron then developed & tested our MaxKool Auto AC Diagnostic Service that is far more accurate & reliable than the current auto repair industry standard still in use today.
To better serve our customers we decided to open our full service auto repair shop in November of 2025 at 4627 N. Stahl Park, 78217. Combined with our mobile service & nearby related auto repair service partners we are literally your one stop shop! Your local auto repair shop use a system for diagnosing your vehicles AC system that was developed in the 1950's. It Involves vacuuming down the refrigerant (or freon), injecting oil & dye into your vehicles AC system then recharging it with nitrogen hoping to "sniff out" the refrigerant leak with a blacklight.
So what's the problem?
It produces a kind of hit or miss scenario that tends to find the big leaks but not small, micro leaks in your vehicles AC System. So the obvious leaks in your vehicles AC system get repaired but all too often you find yourself back at the shop in a few days or weeks later repeating the same process all over again due to unidentified leaks and/or misdiagnosed parts that were replaced. It is costly, time consuming & frustrating!
In 2018 most cars & truck ac systems switched to R1234yf Refrigerant (Freon). This raised the cost to evacuate and recharge your vehicles ac system up to 10 times higher than the old R134b refrigerant. If your vehicles AC system is an R12 Refrigerant System (70's & 80's) it can be as much as 50X more expensive because it is simply not produced anymore. Locating R12 refrigerant in grandpa's garage is like discovering gold!
What does this mean for you?
Maybe you get lucky the first time. More often than not it means repeated trips to the shop until the mechanic replaces enough parts to finally locate all the leaks in your vehicles AC system. Testing, recharging, and replacing parts until all the leaks are eventually discovered in your vehicles AC system. A significant repair bill initially can become an even larger expense down the road.
