Kool2U's Max-Kool AC Diagnostic is the most advanced method used to accurately identify the exact cause of a car air conditioning system problems, especially when other shops fail to diagnose the issue correctly.
If your car AC is not cooling properly, the most common causes include low refrigerant from a leak, compressor failure, or system pressure issues. Accurate diagnosis requires more than a simple recharge. It requires testing the entire AC system under real operating conditions. At Kool2U, we use our patented Max-Kool AC Diagnostic system combining both a low and high pressure test with our proprietary test gas to identify the exact cause of the AC problems quickly and accurately.
Why Standard AC Diagnostics Fail
Why Most AC Diagnostics Miss The Real Problem
-
Auto repair shops rely on recharge and guesswork
-
Don't test under load
-
Don't verify leak source properly
-
Misdiagnose compressors
-
Cannot identify leaks in evaporators

-
AC not cold in extreme heat
Auto AC Problems in San Antonio Heat
In areas like San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Boerne high temperatures put additional stress on vehicle AC systems often exposing weak components or small refrigerant leaks.

FAQ

Why is my car AC not getting cold?
-
Will adding refrigerant fix my AC?

Why does my AC work sometimes?

The Auto Repair Industry Standard:
To find a leak the mechanic starts by testing the AC system's ability to hold pressure with Nitrogen & a sometimes a little Hydrogen. They suck down all the air and refrigerant out of the AC system (total vacuum). If the needle on the gauge stays still they assume the system is sealed. If they needle on the gauge "crawls back" toward zero then they start looking for the leak.
To find the leak the mechanic fills the AC system with Nitrogen & perhaps a "trace gas" such as hydrogen. They inject a dye that glows into the AC system, take out a UV light, and go on the hunt searching for "the glow". The mechanic will also use a "sniffer" that smells or sniffs for nitrogen/hydrogen gas listening for the beep to indicate a possible leak. The mechanic may also try to locate an oil spot or bubble method attempting to locate the source of the leak.
It has been the same for nearly 75 years and often misses the smaller, micro leaks in the ac system.
So what is the problem?
-
Dye test miss slow, tiny leaks
-
Electronic sniffers trigger false positives
-
Auto repair shops rely on trial & error part replacement
-
Often the result is repeated trips for the customer back to the shop
