Kool2U's patented AC diagnostic process finds the leaks other shops miss! No guesswork, repeated visits, or unnecessary parts replacement!

Why Most Auto AC Leak Detection Fails

The system to detect leaks in your vehicles AC system was developed in the 1950's. It is the same system used today at the dealership service department & big name brand auto repair shops.

Customers spend hundred (or thousands) of dollars before getting to the root of their vehicles AC problem. Unfortunately it has been a hit or miss, throw parts at it type of approach that is costly, time consuming, & frustrating for vehicle owners in Texas. Texas heat ain't no joke!

The Auto Repair Industry Standard:

To find a leak the mechanic starts by testing the AC system's ability to hold pressure with Nitrogen & a sometimes a little Hydrogen. They suck down all the air and refrigerant out of the AC system (total vacuum). If the needle on the gauge stays still they assume the system is sealed. If they needle on the gauge "crawls back" toward zero then they start looking for the leak.

To find the leak the mechanic fills the AC system with Nitrogen & perhaps a "trace gas" such as hydrogen. They inject a dye that glows into the AC system, take out a UV light, and go on the hunt searching for "the glow". The mechanic will also use a "sniffer" that smells or sniffs for nitrogen/hydrogen gas listening for the beep to indicate a possible leak. The mechanic may also try to locate an oil spot or bubble method attempting to locate the source of the leak.

It has been the same for nearly 75 years and often misses the smaller, micro leaks in the ac system.

So what is the problem?

  1. Dye test miss slow, tiny leaks

  2. Electronic sniffers trigger false positives

  3. Auto repair shops rely on trial & error part replacement

  4. Often the result is repeated trips for the customer back to the shop
