Without sufficient ac refrigerant, the other auto ac components will be unable to function. An Auto AC leak can occur at any time but most often it is due to a hole in a connection, ac hoses, ac compressor, ac condenser, or a ruptured ac evaporator. Unlike an oil leak, unfortunately, refrigerant (Freon) leaks are difficult to identify (R12, R134a, or R1234yf).
