Common Reasons Your Vehicles AC Isn't Working Properly

Why is my cars AC blowing warm or hot air?

Why is there no air coming from my cars AC vents?

Why is the air coming from my cars AC cool but not cold?

Most often this issue is due to low ac refrigerant. When there is not enough ac refrigerant (Freon) in the system the pressure is reduced which prevents the clutch from triggering the ac compressor to begin its cycle. If enough ac refrigerant is in the system it could also be caused by:

• Blocked or Failed Condenser – Your cars ac condenser is the device that takes the ac refrigerant from its gaseous state by removing the heat and transforming it back into a liquid state. • Failed Clutch Switch – If this component is not functioning, the ac compressor will be unable to operate, thus preventing it from condensing the liquid refrigerant into gas.

Why does my cars AC smell like vinegar or mildew?

When you turn on your cars ac and an noxious smell of mildew hits your nostrils, it’s because of the growth of bacteria in your cars ac system.
